8 slices pumpernickel or dark rye bread
4 slices cheddar cheese


Heat butter in a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Using a Halloween-themed cookie cutter, cut out the centers of four slices of the bread.Place a slice of cheese on the 4 remaining pieces of bread and top with the cutout bread slices. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwiches, whole side of bread facing down, for 3 minutes. Flip and cook the sandwiches, cutout side down, for 2 minutes or until golden and cheese has melted.
