Through Fabric & Frame: Faith Ringgold, Lorraine O’Grady, and the Black Feminist Gaze
Join us for Through Fabric & Frame, a daylong exploration of Black feminist artistic traditions through the works of Faith Ringgold and Lorraine O’Grady. Enjoy a family-friendly reading of Tar Beach and art-making session, a quilting workshop inspired by Ringgold, and a discussion of O’Grady’s Olympia’s Maid. Photographer Laila Annmarie Stevens will lead a photography activation, reactivating O’Grady’s Art Is… series. Timed sign-ups are required for the workshop and portrait sessions.
