Read to a Dog @ Dennis

Children ages 4-13 are invited to read aloud to our wonderful therapy dogs. Depending on the day, you’ll either find Kalvin, a wonderful German Shepherd; Granger, the most gentle Shepherd; or Richard, a loveable black Lab.

Each participant gets 10 minutes of one-on-one reading time. These dogs are all great listeners and never interrupt or criticize. Reading aloud increases self-esteem, confidence, public speaking skills and a love of reading.

To register for a timeslot stop by or call the Dennis Library at 973 383-4810, option 2. Please arrive on time with a book you’d like to read, or early enough to choose some library books.
