Afro Elegance in the Garden

Dress to impress at this celebration of the beauty and diversity of African culture, featuring music, great food, and the commemoration of the birthday of Cliff Mills, the esteemed owner of Afro Taco!
Enjoy sets by DJ Naya and DJ MD, and a show-stopping performance by Ghanaian steppers. Guests are invited to wear a combination of white attire and vibrant African prints to create an elegant and unique atmosphere in the Museum’s lush garden.
Buffet-style food included with the ticket. Drinks are available for purchase.
In case of inclement weather, the event will move indoors.
This event is a partnership between The Newark Museum of Art, Afro Taco and FORSA!.
Parking is available next to the Museum for a $10 fee, with entrances located on Washington Street and Central Avenue.
