In the rich traditions and cultural significance of Kwanzaa, participants come together to honor African heritage and unity. The seven principles of Kwanzaa--unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith—will be explored through discussion and the creation of simple handmade gifts.
