Join us for a sensory-friendly program designed to offer children on the autism spectrum, have sensory processing issues, or feel overwhelmed by noises or crowds, opportunities to engage in social interaction while adults have an opportunity to talk among themselves. Join Miss Alana at the Dennis branch one Wednesday evening a month for a fun bedtime activity and some stories. Enjoy calm music while coloring or crafting and then settle down on the floor for a few bedtime stories. Pajamas are optional, but Miss Alana will probably be wearing hers!
Children ages 5-10 are invited to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to wonderful, certified therapy dogs. Each child will have 10-15 minutes of one-on-one reading time.
