Tubman for Tots

Join us for an morning of fun for toddlers to celebrate Harriet Tubman.
This event is for the whole family. Reserve your free ticket!

This event for the whole family will include an interactive storytelling experience with Gha’il Rhodes Benjamin, an art-making activity, snacks, and tours of the Shadow of a Face monument at Harriet Tubman Square.

In case of inclement weather, the whole event will take place at the Museum.

This event is a partnership between the City of Newark, Newark City Park Foundation, The Newark Museum of Art, and Audible.

About Gha’il Rhodes Benjamin

Gha’il Rhodes Benjamin is an award winning spoken-word performance-recording artist, actress, self-empowerment speaker, and educator. As an educator, Gha’il coaches, facilitates, and encourages participants of all ages to speak their truths forward with boldness. Via her own production company, Talking Poems and Storytelling Productions, she continues to inspire, encourage, and uplift audiences throughout the USA and abroad.

Parking is available next to the Museum for a $10 fee, with entrances located on Washington Street and Central Avenue.
