Solar Eclipse STEAM @ Main Library

Celebrate NJ STEM Month* at the Main Library and prepare for the solar eclipse of April 8, 2024 with drop-in STEAM programs (while supplies last) for all ages in the community room throughout late March!
Monday, March 18th from 4:00pm-4:30pm – Eclipse STEAM Jr.: Chalk Art
Kids ages 3-7 can learn eclipses and create a chalk drawing of the Sun’s corona, as seen during a total solar eclipse.
Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00pm-6:30pm – Eclipse STEAM Teen: Star Life Cycle Beaded Bookmark
Teens ages 13-17 can make a life cycle of a star bookmark using beads to represent different stages of a star’s development.
Saturday, March 30th from 3:00pm-3:30pm – Eclipse STEAM Kids: Eclipse Phases Art
Kids ages 8-12 can learn about and visualize the different phases of a solar eclipse through art to create their very own cosmic masterpiece.
