Roll & Stroll: An Accessible Adventure!
April 27 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
We are thrilled to announce our first in a series of hikes that welcomes people of all abilities to explore the Preserve’s trails.
The terrain will be relatively level containing forest, a lake, and fields. Our carriage roads are 16 feet wide and surfaced with gravel.
All-terrain devices or wheelchairs with bicycle-type wheels/tires are recommended. Standard wheelchairs should work as well but hard rubber tires can lead to a bumpier ride.
We’ll have two routes to choose from; either 1 or 1.5 miles in length. After the first half mile, participants can choose to round the lake and return to the Visitor’s Center, or continue for another mile. There will be a hike leader with each group.
Bicycles are not permitted.
Meet in the Visitor’s Center courtyard and bring water to drink.
Max: 30 people.
Parking: $6 per vehicle.
In case of bad weather, we will postpone to April 28; you will be notified by 5 pm the day prior.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions!
