Read to a Dog @ Louise Childs

Children ages 5-10 are invited to read aloud to certified therapy dogs. Each child gets a full, 10-minutes of one-to-one reading time. The dogs are wonderful listeners and never criticize. The children gain self-esteem, confidence, public speaking skills and a love of reading.

Each child signs up for a specific time slot – 4:00, 4:15, 4:30 or 4:45. Please arrive on time with a couple of books, or early enough to pick out library books to read.

This program will be held the 4th Tuesday of each month. Sign up in person or by calling the branch at 973 770-1000, option 2. Registration begins two weeks before each program date.
