Kayak Tour on the Passaic River

Bordering the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, this section of the Passaic River offers beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife. As the river twists and turns, you’ll feel truly connected to nature and immersed in the refuge’s serene atmosphere.
Led by an ACA (American Canoe Association) certified kayak instructor from Kayak East, this tour is rated “Easy,” meaning no experience is necessary. It’s perfect for families and paddlers of all skill levels. Whether you’re a photographer, bird-watcher, or simply someone who enjoys the outdoors, you’ll love this unique nature experience!
Important Information:
- Participants ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children ages 8–12 must share a tandem kayak with an adult.
- Meeting location: Passaic River in Bernards Township (exact directions provided upon registration).
- Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early for boat fitting.
