Medicinal Use of “Invasives”
June 25, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Learn about the medicinal gifts of “invasive” plants with herbalist, Clare Pierson in the conclusion of our “Edible Invasives” class series.
We’ll embark on a weed walk to meet these sometimes maligned plants in their natural habitat, and learn how and when to harvest them and prepare them for medicine. Afterward, we’ll return to the gallery to taste some of the medicines made by Clare and learn some basic medicine-making techniques.
Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing; we will proceed with the walk even in light rain.
Meet in the art gallery at the Visitor’s Center. Bring a notebook to take notes.
No dogs please.
Max: 20 people.
