About the workshop

Join us on the CSA Farm for a 5-week mud kitchen cooking class. In this series, we will forage for ingredients and create a variety of mud kitchen recipes. These include, yet are not limited to: soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and of course dessert! This class is best intended for ages 2-7 and is a rain-or-shine event. It is always wise to dress for a mess! This program is recommended to be taken as a series, a discounted rate is applied for those who enroll for all 5 weeks. However, participants are able to register for individual topics of interest. Parents are required to remain with children for the duration of the class.

Disclaimer: This is a mock kitchen, all ingredients are inedible and are not to be consumed by children.

Educational Outcomes:

● Practice newly emerging motor skills and behavioral patterns.

● Develop social skills through both imaginative and cooperative play.

● Foster a deeper sense of connection to nature.

*Fees cannot be refunded for participant cancellation or any other reason. In the event of extreme weather, class location may be moved indoors or a weather-related make-up date will be held for no additional cost to the registrant. **Transactions will be processed through the Natural Heritage Trust as a donation on behalf of Bayard Cutting Arboretum.
