Introduction to Nature Journaling @ Dorothy Henry

August 12, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Nature journaling is the practice of drawing or writing in response to nature. A journal should be a playful, helpful, adventurous, and extension of yourself. It is a place to grow your thoughts, feelings, ideas, activities, observations, and relationship with the natural world.

Today’s program will give an introduction to the benefits of nature journaling as well as different ways to get started. You don’t need to be a naturalist or an experienced artist…you don’t need to be an expert in ANY field to nature journal! You only need to have the desire to observe and learn more about your natural surroundings.

Presented by the Sussex County Nature Journal Club and Nicole Christian of the Nicole Christian Fine Art & Illustration Studio.

Please bring your own blank sketch book, all other supplies will be provided. Registration begins July 29. Walk-ins also welcome as space allows. This is an outdoor event, rain date is August 19.
