Hike with Mike: Intro to Hiking

If you’re thinking of making hiking part of your life, the wide trails and varied vistas of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve are an ideal place to start, especially while the peony garden is in bloom!

A discussion about what to wear, what to bring, using maps, and the varied terrain in the Preserve will increase your comfort when hiking in the future. A short family-friendly hike around Swan Lake will follow to see if any questions come to mind. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Please bring water to drink and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes.

Meet in the Visitor Center courtyard, rain or shine.
