Herbal Medicine: Allergies Be Gone!

September 16 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Discover the plants and mushrooms that support us during the fall allergy season with this plant walk and workshop!

Fall is a wonderful time to be outside and enjoy the golden tones of the landscape. Some of our most treasured plant allies flower during this season, including over 150 species of golden rod. In this class we will explore various plants and mushrooms that support us during allergy season. We will learn how to identify, store and prepare them for long term use. We will also discover complementary plants that help our immune and respiratory systems such as nettle, violet and sassafras.

This class is taught by our program partner Alexandra Radoaca, founder and owner of Mindful Wilderness. Alexandra offers retreats and workshops weaving together herbalism, nature connection, earth living skills, sound healing and mind body practices, with an intention to create relationships with the Earth and to ourselves.

  • Ages 18 and up
  • Involves a slow-paced walk over uneven terrain for up an hour.
  • Tickets are final and non-refundable. If you are unable to make it, you may come to another class in the future (same price or less).
  • If we cancel due to heavy rain or inclement weather, the program will be rescheduled and you may choose the new date or a full refund.

Contact us to request a private class: info@highlandsnaturefriends.org or call Anne at 973-835-2160.
