Family Nature Hike: Family Program (All Ages) $4 per person upon arrival

Join a New York State Parks Educator on a guided hike around Hempstead Lake. Bring the whole family along as we learn about the plants and animals that call our park home!
We will meet at the Environmental Education and Resiliency Center in Field 1 of Hempstead Lake State Park. $4 per person upon arrival at the front desk. No parking fees in effect. Reservations are required for all programs, each person needs their own ticket. Space is limited. If you are unable to keep your reservation, please cancel so others may have the opportunity to attend. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Please dress warmly in layers, wear proper foot attire for hiking, and bring a water bottle and a small snack if you like. Please be prepared to walk up to 2.5 miles.
