Community Day: Fiesta Latina

A celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! This lively event will feature an incredible lineup of Latino performers and artmaking activities that pay tribute to Hispanic culture. Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms, captivating dances, and rich traditions of Latin America. Come join us for a day filled with music, dance, art, and community as we celebrate the diversity and contributions of the Hispanic community.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The event will move indoors in case of inclement weather.
Parking is available next to the Museum for a $10 fee, with entrances located on Washington Street and Central Avenue. Community Days & Nights are presented by Horizon Foundation of New Jersey.

We anticipate a large turnout for this event. We encourage you to take public transportation to the Museum. You will find more information below:
Public Transportation
You can easily get to the Museum using the Newark Light Rail, getting off at the Harriet Tubman Square stop or the Washington Street stop. You can also arrive via NJ Transit heavy rail, as we are three blocks from Broad Street Station.
Driving
The Museum has a parking lot with limited space. It is $10 to park. Downtown Newark has ample on-street parking. We also recommend going to http://Parking.com and searching using the Museum’s Address, 49 Washington Street, Newark, NJ to find available parking.
Uber/Lyft
The Museum is located at 49 Washington Street. You will enter through our main entrance which faces Washington Street.
