Fall Migration Bird Walk 1

September 12 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am

Small blue-gray bird with a black cap and white face perched on a branch, holding a seed in its beak against a blurred autumn background.

(adults)

Autumn has arrived, and for the vast diversity of migratory birds that live in North America, the race begins to return to their wintering grounds to the south. The diverse vegetation of Reeves Reed Arboretum provides migratory birds a great opportunity to stop and forage on their flight path as prevailing winds conduct them along the Watchung Ridges. Come refresh your bird-finding skills and allow our guide to point out the array of warblers, thrushes, vireos, and more which await the patient observer. We will meet at the education building. No experience is necessary, but a pair of binoculars is required.

The cost is per person. Registration is required, so be sure to register early as space is limited.

Member Price: $10 | Non-Member Price: $25
