The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC) is excited to announce two special “Rookie Day” events on July 9th and July 23rd, from 10 AM to 2:30 PM, designed to give prospective campers a taste of the vibrant and engaging experience at JCC Camp Ruach. This complimentary program is open to children entering 1st through 4th grades, and enrollment is limited to ensure a personalized and quality experience. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
During Rookie Day, prospective campers will be guided by our warm and caring Camp Ruach counselors as they participate in a variety of fun activities and meet both current campers and fellow rookies. Meanwhile, parents will have the opportunity to tour the campgrounds and meet members of the camp’s leadership team, gaining insights into our programs, facilities, and the unique camp culture that has been fostered over the past 24 summers.

Through this immersive day, families will not only learn about our diverse activities and facilities but also feel the strong sense of community and purpose that defines Camp Ruach. We hope that participants will leave with a clear sense of the wonderful families we attract and the intentional community we create.
