Before the automobile was invented discover how people could travel quickly to get to the seashore during summertime from right after the Civil War to well into the 1900’s. Be they common or famous people, they used a fast and efficient system of steamboats and railroads to stay at many grand hotels and eat at numerous restaurants while enjoying the many attractions found along the Jersey Shore. Free! – Please park across the street from the Post Museum in the Headquarters parking lot.
