The Schuyler Sisters & the “Hamilton” Musical via Zoom

Four daughters of wealthy Philip Schuyler ran away to elope with rich men. But Elizabeth Schuyler married Alexander Hamilton – a penniless, orphaned immigrant – for love. We will read the love letters Hamilton sent to Eliza during their courtship, then meet two other women – Angelica Schuyler Church and Maria Reynolds – who also pursued Alexander. This program features music from the Hamilton Broadway musical including The Schuyler Sisters, Helpless, Satisfied, and It’s Quiet Uptown.

Presenter Rick Feingold teaches American Business History at Bergen County Community College. He also holds a degree in History from Rutgers University and an MBA from Penn State University.
