“War of the Worlds” Listening Party!

Join us for a listening party of “War of the Worlds” in History House! Be transported to the 1930s in a historic Army building. Ages 10+!
On Halloween Eve of 1938, Orson Welles and “The Mercury Theater on the Air” spooked the nation with a live radio play of “The War of the Worlds.” Join a ranger in History House to learn about radio in the 1930’s as we listen to the original broadcast on the anniversary date and see why Americans across radioland were convinced an army of Martian invaders had attacked planet earth! Ages 10 and up. May be too spooky for some visitors.
