Let’s hit the trails & embrace the breathtaking beauty of the Northwest Forest with our Autumn Hike—get ready for an unforgettable adventure
Join the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance for an enriching hike and forest exploration experience along the Cass Gallagher Trail. Led by Volunteer Coordinator Noel Hefele, this leisurely walk covers 2-3 miles and offers a fresh look at both native and invasive tree species in our Northwest forest.

- Time: 1 pm – 3 pm
- Meeting Point: VCPA Garden and Compost Site
- The hike will start at approximately 1:10 pm.
Pets, on leashes, are welcome! The hike is suitable for all ages, though keep in mind that there are moderate elevation changes.
