Access Family Programs (Teens & Adults)

The Intrepid Museum offers programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families take a guided, interactive tour of the Museum and can participate in activities that everyone can enjoy.

Happy Birthday, Intrepid!

Celebrate Intrepid’s 80th birthday by learning about the experience of Intrepid’s crew. Hear favorite sea-stories from former crew members and throw a party for the ship!

Check-in begins at 1:30pm. Please arrive before 2:00pm in order to participate in the full program.

Looking for a program for younger visitors? This program will be offered from 11:00am to 1:00pm for children under 17 with developmental disabilities and their families. Register for the children’s program here.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Do you have programs for younger children with developmental disabilities?

Yes! Access Family Programs for children with developmental disabilities and their families are offered on the same day as the teen and adult program, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Registration is required. Please visit intrepidmuseum.org/education/access-family-programs for the registration link.

Do you still offer virtual Access Family Programs?

Yes. We offer several virtual Access Family Programs over the course of the year. Virtual programs take place over Zoom and include at-home activity packets. In-person programs take place at the Museum, with a morning session for children and an afternoon session for teens and adults.
