A Farmer’s Dinner to Benefit Queens County Farm Museum
July 13, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Queens County Farm Museum is one of the longest continually farmed sites in New York State, dating back to 1697, and the largest tract of farmland in New York City. It implements regenerative farming practices and is a leader in hyper-locally grown food, cultivating over 200 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. It is a model for food production, teaching and research; a New York City Landmark and on the National Registry of Historic Places; and the largest cultural institution in Queens, welcoming over 500,000 visitors annually.
Queens County Farm Museum is undertaking its largest agricultural expansion in over fifty years. A Farmer’s Dinner will take place on Thursday, July 13th, with a reception starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Farm-to-Table dinner including select menu items grown at Queens Farm. There will be live music, special guests and other surprises, celebrating Queens Farm’s history and its place in New York City today.
