DESCRIPTION:Reeves-Reed Arboretum is pleased to present Féminin Pluriel\, a solo exhibition by Québec-based artist Pascale Bouchard. This exhibition highlights Bouchard’s distinctive encaustic practice\, in which pigmented beeswax and heat are used to create richly textured works of art. Rooted in themes of transformation\, memory\, and the symbolic power of the feminine\, her work draws deeply from floral imagery and organic forms\, evoking both the fragility and resilience of the natural world. \nA curated selection of artist-designed objects and garments inspired by the Féminin Pluriel series will be available for purchase\, and a live demonstration of Bouchard’s encaustic technique will be scheduled this fall at the Arboretum. \nThe exhibition will be on view from May 29 through October 31 in the Wisner House. \nGallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm unless closed for a private event. Please check here for updated hours.  \nAll works in this exhibition will be for sale\, and the artist will donate 30% of all sales to the Arboretum.

DESCRIPTION:Museum staff and other guest readers share stories\, rhymes and sing-alongs with children ages 2 to 5 years and their caregivers every Friday at 10:00 am. A $5 suggested donation is appreciated. \nLaunched in 2005 by librarian and former Museum Trustee Penny Metsch\, the program is open to all on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. \nDue to weather or staffing shortages\, the program may be canceled without advance notice. Tours begin at the Visitors Center. No reservations are required and tours are on a first-come\, first-served basis for individuals who would like to learn more about the current season’s highlights. Limit of 7 people per tour. Anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No groups. Tours last approximately 30-45 minutes. \n\n\n\n\nSaturday Garden Tours may be suspended on days with excessive heat. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Forest Bathing can be viewed as an effective strategy to maintain and boost immune strength in human beings. \nEnjoy this spiritually and emotionally enriching experience on the beautiful grounds of Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Rich Collins will be the guide for this wonderful morning in nature. \nA few tips from Rich to make your walk more comfortable: \n\nThe walk will last for about 2.5 hours.\nWe will be moving slowly and using our senses to connect with nature so this will not be an athletic walk.\nPlease dress in layers so you can be comfortable with temperature changes.\nIf you wish\, you can bring sunscreen\, bug spray\, and/or water.\nRich will provide small mats to use when sitting.\n\nRich Collins is a Certified Guide for the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT)\, based in Morristown & Barnegat Light\, New Jersey.  His company\, Friendly Territory\, specializes in Nature & Forest Therapy walks and retreats.
