DESCRIPTION:Visualize the town and campus as you’ve never seen them before! Working from photographs\, teams recreate iconic Princeton structures out of LEGO building blocks. Choose among more than 50 historic structures\, famous residences\, community buildings\, and houses of worship to construct a scale model. When complete\, models are placed on a 30-foot map of Princeton\, providing an amazing aerial view. \nFun for all ages\, Building Princeton is designed to increase awareness of the town’s rich architectural heritage. Teams can include up to 4 people\, with at least one adult per group. Led by architect Stephen W. Schwartz from Building Blocks Workshops\, LLC\, this event is featured in other cities\, including Montclair\, Morristown\, and Summit.

DESCRIPTION:Letter Writing Workshop \nFor ages 9 – 15 \nFeb. 21\, 2 – 4pm \nRegistration is required; Min: 5 participants\, Max: 25 participants. \n$25 per child  \n  \nRegister your child now! \n  \nThe art of writing letters is well and alive! In this winter break workshop\, youth ages 9 – 15 will explore the history of letter writing and develop their writing skills in this literacy-based\, traditional letter-writing experience. They will have the opportunity to examine real letters from the Coe family’s children\, who lived on the estate\, and experiment with different letter writing instruments throughout the centuries\, such as quills and typewriters. They’ll learn how to write their own letters by hand\, decorate and fill out an envelope! \n  \nThis is a drop-off program. Guardians are encouraged to stay on-site during the duration of the program and explore the beautiful grounds! \nIf your child requires accommodations\, if you have any questions or are interested in group rates\, please contact scrowley@plantingfields.org \nThis is a non-refundable program. 48 Hour Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel\, you will be credited the amount towards a future education workshop.
