DESCRIPTION:The Intrepid Museum offers Access Family Programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities and their families and friends!\n\n\nAccess Family Programs (Teens & Adults)\nThe Intrepid Museum offers programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities and their families on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families can participate in hands-on activities\, enjoy a light snack\, and take an inclusive guided tour of the Museum. A separate program for children is offered in the morning. Families receive a social narrative and visual vocabulary and schedule in advance. \nSail-A-Bration!\nDiscover how crew members aboard Intrepid celebrated special occasions with their shipmates while far from home. This program highlights U.S. Navy traditions and invites families to share their own meaningful traditions! \nCheck-in begins at 1:30pm. \nLooking for a program for younger visitors? A similar program will be offered from 11:00am to 1:00pm for children under 17 with developmental disabilities and their families. Register for the children’s program here. \n\n\nFAQ\nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \nPlease visit our Visitor Information page for directions. DESCRIPTION:Reeves-Reed Arboretum is pleased to present Féminin Pluriel\, a solo exhibition by Québec-based artist Pascale Bouchard. This exhibition highlights Bouchard’s distinctive encaustic practice\, in which pigmented beeswax and heat are used to create richly textured works of art. Rooted in themes of transformation\, memory\, and the symbolic power of the feminine\, her work draws deeply from floral imagery and organic forms\, evoking both the fragility and resilience of the natural world. \nA curated selection of artist-designed objects and garments inspired by the Féminin Pluriel series will be available for purchase\, and a live demonstration of Bouchard’s encaustic technique will be scheduled this fall at the Arboretum. \nThe exhibition will be on view from June 2 through October 31 in the Wisner House. \nGallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm unless closed for a private event. Please check here for updated hours.  \nAll works in this exhibition will be for sale\, and the artist will donate 30% of all sales to the Arboretum.

DESCRIPTION:(age 14+\, age 12-13 with adult) \nJoin Our Horticulture Team! \nVolunteers will reestablish existing trails\, plant native trees\, identify and remove invasives\, as well as other tasks. No experience is necessary. \nGround Force Sessions: \n\n\nFridays\, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM \n\n\nWhat to Bring & Wear: \n\n\nLong pants\, long socks\, and sturdy closed-toe shoes \n\n\nInsect repellent\, sunscreen\, and a refillable water bottle \n\n\nRain gear if light rain is expected—we work in drizzle! \n\n\nRegistration is required to receive updates in case of cancellations or schedule changes. Please register at least 24 hours before each session. \nWe will supply gloves as well as all other tools and materials. For your safety\, all tools and gloves are washed and sanitized. Please meet at the barn in our parking lot. If the session is cancelled due to inclement weather or any other reason\, we will contact you.
