SUMMARY:Daffodil Day
DESCRIPTION:Daffodil Day is a decades-old tradition in Summit when visitors to the Arboretum have an opportunity to enjoy one of the largest daffodil collections in New Jersey – over 50\,000 bulbs in bloom in the Arboretum’s glacially carved Daffodil Bowl! And this year is extra special as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary as a public arboretum. \nThe day’s activities include spring-themed games and crafts\, a story trail\, music\, food\, market vendors\, our current art exhibit\, and of course\, the Green Goats will be here. \nStaggered entry times will be at 11:00 am\, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. Please be sure to sign up for the time slot you prefer\, as changing will be based on availability. This event is rain or shine. No refunds. \nMEMBER REGISTRATION: Daffodil Day is FREE for RRA Members. Member registration begins Tuesday\, March 5 at 9:00 am. Please note that registration for family-level members is limited to immediate family only. Individual and senior-level members are entitled to their own entry and dual-level members are entitled to their two household entries. When registering\, please include the number of people attending and their names in the participant’s box. Thank you. \nNON-MEMBER REGISTRATION: Daffodil Day is $10/person for non-members. Children ages 3 and under are free. Non-member registration begins Tuesday\, March 12 at 9:00 am. \n50th ANNIVERSARY DAFFODIL FUNDRAISER: Each $25 gift ensures the purchase and planting of 10 daffodil bulbs to add to our breathtaking display. Please click here to make a donation! \nQUESTIONS? Contact office manager Marilyn Foehrenbach at 908-273-8787 ext. 1010 or m.foehrenbach@reeves-reedarboretum.org. \nPARKING: The Arboretum parking lot is closed during this event\, but on-street parking is available.  Please adhere to all parking signs and give yourself ample time for parking and walking to the Arboretum. \nConsider walking or biking to Daffodil Day and enjoy the beauty of Summit by leaving your car at home. Bikers can avoid busy Hobart Avenue by taking quiet Hobart Road off of Whittredge Road\, or Beacon Road and Ridge Road off of Fernwood Road. Bike racks will be on hand at the Arboretum.

SUMMARY:13th Annual All Kids Fair in Westbury\, NY
DESCRIPTION:Since 2011\, the All Kids Fair has provided a fun day each April for kids and their families to spend time together and also learn about Long Island-based companies with services and products for them. The All Kids Fair will have many different types of exhibitors\, including camps\, places to play\, after-school activities\, birthday party planners\, travel\, special needs providers\, non-profits\, kids’ products\, and college planning. \nThere are many exciting reasons for families to attend each year\, in addition to the opportunity to meet with over 80 kid-centered exhibitors. Here are some of this year’s reasons\, all of which are all free with admission: \n\nMany activity areas\nThree large bounce houses\nDJ with music\nFace painting\nBalloon animals\nCotton candy\nPhoto booth\nChild ID kits\nMr. and Mrs. Mouse\nLego table with sensory play\nMobile STEAM lab bus in the parking lot\n\nNewly crowned Miss Long Island 2024\, Katherine Wang\, will be in attendance and able to take pictures with the kids. \nA new feature this year is that kids can be a “Biker for a Day” and touch\, sit on\, and take photos with different motorcycles\, They will be able to get fake “biker” tattoos and socialize with real “bikers” from non-profit Bikers Against Child Abuse. \nSaber Guild – Endor Temple\, a Lucasfilm and Disney-recognized costume and choreography group\, raises money for various charities. Last year\, they exhibited and ran an activity three\ntimes\, as they will do again this year\, entitled “Padawan Training Institute: Use the Force and Wield a Lightsaber.” Many of the kids and parents in attendance enjoyed these Jedi-\nthemed classes. \nThere will also be a charity drive to benefit Agape Meals for Kids\, a local 501(c)3 organization that provides weekend meals to children living with food insecurity on Long Island. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable\, easy-to-prepare\, easy-to-heat\, single-serve\, and healthy food. Those who donate food or money will receive raffle tickets to win great prizes and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped Long Island kids in need. \nTickets purchased in advance at www.AllKidsFair.com/Tickets are $5 for children ages 2 and up and adults. Tickets purchased at the door are $10 for children ages 2 and up and $5 for adults. Children 1 and younger are admitted at no charge.
