This series will emphasize the changing of seasons from Winter into Spring. Children will have the experience of seeing the ground thaw\, flower buds\, and animals come out to play. \nEach class is split into three parts; an introductory literacy lesson\, followed by an engaging nature walk and lastly a fun activity that incorporates elements from the environment. \nParents are required to remain with children for the duration of the class. This series is best intended for ages 2-7 and is an indoor/outdoor hybrid. It is always wise to dress for a mess! \n  \nEducational Outcomes:\n● Practice foundational literacy skills such as letter recognition and phonetics. \n● Develop the ability to process and integrate sensory information through play. \n● Foster a deeper appreciation and connection to the changing seasons. \n  \n\n\nFees cannot be refunded for participant cancellation or any other reason. Owner and preservation architect Joseph Lombardi once said that restoring The Octagon House was “like assembling a 500\,000-piece jigsaw puzzle” – a task so overwhelming that many considered it impossible! While exploring the veranda and three primary floors\, visitors will learn about the unbelievably detailed process of determining original interior and exterior paint colors\, the magical moments of uncovering new puzzle pieces of the house’s history\, and how the dome was saved from near collapse.
