DESCRIPTION:(all ages) \nSimple Gifts will bring folk music to the garden this summer\, introducing us to at least 12 bluegrass instruments! A spoons-playing workshop will take place before the concert\, and spoon players will be included in a concert song. Simple Gifts has played at major venues including the Smithsonian\, National Theatre\, Lincoln Theater\, Bethel Woods\, and Longwood Gardens. Their latest CD\, “Journeys\,” won a Global Music Award. Don’t miss this fun musical evening in the garden! \nSimple Gifts\, featuring Linda Littleton and Karen Hirshon\, has played at major venues including the Smithsonian\, National Theatre\, Lincoln Theater\, Bethel Woods\, and Longwood Gardens. \n“Simple Gifts wowed our audience with a cultural and educational program that was fun\, informative\, and energetic.” – Teresia Bush\, Smithsonian Institute \nDETAILS: The grounds open at 6 p.m. for concertgoers to picnic. All Sounds of a Summer Night performances in the garden begin promptly at 7 p.m. Please bring your own blankets and lawn chairs. All concerts are rain or shine; no refunds. In the event of inclement weather\, performances will move indoors. Please check our website for updates. \nREGISTRATION: RRA Members and children under 3 are FREE; Non-members $15/person\, Students $5/person. Student tickets must be purchased at the gate.
