DESCRIPTION:(school age children and parents) \nOn this important day of service\, families are invited to stop by the Stackhouse Education Center to create Valentine cards that will be delivered to clients of SAGE Eldercare to brighten their day. This in-person drop-in event allows us to gather as a community in service of others. \nWe’ll provide all the supplies—paper\, ribbon\, yarn\, and other recycled and repurposed materials—for you to create thoughtful\, upcycled Valentine cards. You are welcome to stay and make your cards onsite\, or take supplies home and return your finished cards to the Arboretum anytime before February 3 by placing them in the container outside the Stackhouse Education Center. \nReeves-Reed Arboretum honors and remembers the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. by coming together to reach out and warm the hearts of our neighbors. \nThis is a drop-in event. Registration is not required. \n\n\n\nThe schedule of all MLK activities in Summit and link. SUMMARY:Passaic River/Great Swamp Paddle – SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:Kayak Tour on the Passaic River \n(All ages\, 15 & under must be accompanied by an adult\, children ages 8-12 years must share a tandem kayak with an adult) \nBordering Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge\, this section of the Passaic River boasts beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife. You’ll feel at one with nature as the river’s twists and turns carry you deeper into the refuge’s soul. \nLed by an ACA (American Canoe Association) certified kayak instructor from Kayak East\, this tour is rated “Easy” meaning no experience is necessary.  Great for families and paddlers of any skill level.  Photographers\, bird-watchers and anyone who wants to get outside and enjoy nature will love it! \nPlan to meet at the Passaic River in Bernards Township at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour for boat fit. Directions and additional information will be provided upon registration. Paddlers ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
