DESCRIPTION:Children\, tweens and teens are invited to read aloud to our wonderful therapy dogs. Depending on the day\, you’ll either find Kalvin\, a wonderful German Shepherd; Granger\, the most gentle of shepherds; or Richard\, a loveable black Lab. Reading aloud increases self-esteem\, confidence\, public speaking skills and a love of reading. These dogs are gentle spirits that also can help calm a worried or stressed child. \nEach participant gets 10 minutes of one-on-one reading time. To register for a timeslot stop by or call the Dennis Library at 973 383-4810\, option 2.
