SUMMARY:Beyond Beech Leaf Disease: Saving Our Beeches Together
DESCRIPTION:(for adults) \nJoin John Beirne\, Director of Horticulture\, for an inspiring talk on the ongoing efforts to protect our beloved beeches—both here at the Arboretum and in your own backyard. Beech Leaf Disease has spread rapidly across the Northeast\, threatening the health of these treasured trees and disrupting the balance of our woodlands. \nYet\, there is hope. While the challenge is serious\, recent progress in managing—and even treating—the disease has shown encouraging results\, from home gardens to large-scale Arboretum projects. Together\, we’ll explore what causes Beech Leaf Disease\, the steps being taken to combat it\, and how each of us can play a role in safeguarding these magnificent trees for generations to come. \nMember Price: $25 | Non-Member Price: $35 \nThe cost is per person. Registration is required\, so be sure to register early as space is limited. \nNotice: Due to ongoing construction for the Path for All project\, Arboretum parking will be unavailable Monday through Friday\, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please use street parking during these hours. Handicap parking will remain available.
