DESCRIPTION:Kayak Tour on the Passaic River \n(All ages\, 15 & under must be accompanied by an adult\, children ages 8-12 years must share a tandem kayak with an adult) \nBordering Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge\, this section of the Passaic River boasts beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife. You’ll feel at one with nature as the river’s twists and turns carry you deeper into the refuge’s soul. \nLed by an ACA (American Canoe Association) certified kayak instructor from Kayak East\, this tour is rated “Easy” meaning no experience is necessary.  Great for families and paddlers of any skill level.  Photographers\, bird-watchers and anyone who wants to get outside and enjoy nature will love it! \nPlan to meet at the Passaic River in Bernards Township at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour for boat fit. Directions and additional information will be provided upon registration. Paddlers ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. DESCRIPTION:(adults and family) \nRyan Hernandez began his musical journey in Huntington Beach\, California\, studying with acclaimed blues musician Walter Trout. After moving to New Jersey in 2010\, he immersed himself in the New York metro jazz scene\, performing with the New Jersey Youth Jazz Orchestra alongside artists such as Christian McBride\, Jon Faddis\, and Stefon Harris. \nA graduate of the William Paterson University Jazz Program and the Manhattan School of Music\, where he studied with Bill Charlap and Joe Lovano\, Ryan now performs regularly throughout New York City. \nThis performance will feature a cool yet classic trio ensemble\, presenting a mix of original compositions alongside favorites from the Great American Songbook. \nDETAILS: The grounds open at 6 p.m. for concertgoers to picnic.
