DESCRIPTION:First Fridays: Through the Stained-Glass\nFriday\, March 7\, 2025\nOne Session: 10 – 11am\n$20 per person\nBeginning at the Main House\, check in begins 15 minutes prior.  \n  \nRegister Now \n  \nExplore the extensive collection of medieval and renaissance stained glass at Planting Fields! \n During this walk and workshop for adults\, participants will discover the travels and stories of a few of the forty—plus stained-glass panes that illuminate the historic house-museum\, the Main House. Guests will be guided by Emily Leger\, Planting Fields Foundation’s Collections and Exhibitions Manager\, and will not only dive into the Corpus Vitrearum\, an International scholarly compilation of historic glass windows\, but also make their very own faux stained-glass to bring home and enjoy!  \n  \nMore about First Fridays\nThis monthly series dives into the various themes that make up Planting Fields\, with exclusive behind-the-scenes walking tours and workshops led by Planting Fields Foundation and New York State Parks staff\, who are experts in their respective fields. From wellness and Olmsted landscape features to the life-stories of Coe family members and their unchallenged spectacular horticultural\, historic and personal collections\, participants of this series will see this site with a new lens. Each month a new theme is explored with at least one staff expert serving as your guide. LICM was founded in 2020 by husband-and-wife musicians Eric Huckins and Gergana Haralampieva alongside composer Nick DiBerardino with the mission of making professional classical music of the highest caliber accessible to Long Island audiences. \n \nLICM performs chamber music at local venues across Long Island including concert halls\, parks\, libraries\, churches\, museums\, and community centers. LICM works closely with its community partners to create concert programs that are relevant and compelling to audiences. Each concert showcases a variety of instrumentations drawing from LICM’s artist roster of over 20 professional musicians. Don’t miss this chance to spark your little one’s imagination and celebrate the beauty of winter! \n  \nMore about the Little Learner Series\nParks are for everyone – even our littlest learners! Join us twice a month for a brand-new experience: Every other week we will introduce children ages 2 – 5 to the natural world around them and engage them and their parents. We’ll tackle one theme at a time with a nature story\, craft\, and open play outside!
