DESCRIPTION:11:30 am\, 12:00pm\, 1:00 pm\, and 2:30pm\nYou are invited to enjoy an enchanting Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea in Wisner House overlooking the Arboretum’s beautiful grounds! \nUpon arrival\, you will be offered a menu of fine teas and infusions. Your choice of tea will be brewed to perfection. Once everyone is settled in\, the tiers will arrive with freshly baked scones\, jam\, homemade clotted cream\, scrumptious sandwiches\, and a 3-tiered dessert tray. \nIn the last part of the service\, you’ll be offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco\, a Mimosa\, or sparkling lemonade. We hope you will join us! \nThis event is for adults and children ages 13+. Seatings are 90 minutes\, and registration is required. If you prefer Sun Porch seating\, please purchase tickets for 11:30 am\, 12:00 pm\, or 2:30 pm. Children 7+ are welcome at our 2:30 pm seating. \nA 10% gratuity for your server is included in tea pricing. \nGroups larger than 8 people\, please email Richard at richard@secrettearoom.us for booking information. \nMember Price: $60 | Non-Member Price: $70 \nMember registration is open now through February 26. SUMMARY:Forest Bathing Mini-Retreat
DESCRIPTION:(for adults) \nForest Bathing\, also known as Nature and Forest Therapy\, is a slow meditative walk in nature that takes a holistic view of the physiological\, mental\, emotional\, and psycho-spiritual benefits to be derived from an embodied contact with nature and aims to engage humans through their senses\, not their intellects. Forest Bathing can be viewed as an effective strategy to maintain and boost immune strength in human beings. \nEnjoy this spiritually and emotionally enriching experience on the beautiful grounds of Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Rich Collins will be the guide for this wonderful morning in nature. \nA few tips from Rich to make your walk more comfortable: \n\nThe walk will last for about 2.5 hours.\nWe will be moving slowly and using our senses to connect with nature so this will not be an athletic walk.\nPlease dress in layers so you can be comfortable with temperature changes.\nIf you wish\, you can bring sunscreen\, bug spray\, and/or water.\nRich will provide small mats to use when sitting.\n\nRich Collins is a Certified Guide for the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT)\, based in Morristown & Barnegat Light\, New Jersey.  His company\, Friendly Territory\, specializes in Nature & Forest Therapy walks and retreats. He is a husband\, proud father and grandfather\, entrepreneur\, and daily meditator.  \nMember Price: $25 | Non-Member Price: $35 \nNotice: Due to ongoing construction for the Path for All project\, Arboretum parking will be unavailable Monday through Friday\, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. SUMMARY:Mini Terrarium Workshop: Exploring Small Ecosystems in Glass
DESCRIPTION:(adults and teens 16 yrs+) \nThis engaging terrarium workshop blends science and creativity through hands-on learning. Participants will explore the fundamentals of small-scale ecosystems\, gaining insight into how light\, moisture\, and plant interactions support a balanced environment. Using live mosses and plants\, participants will design and build a self-sustaining terrarium while learning about plant selection\, design basics\, and ongoing care. The workshop will meet in the Wisner House sunporch. \nAll supplies are included\, and each participant will go home with a finished 5” glass terrarium and care instructions. No experience necessary. \nThe cost is per person.
