SUMMARY:Afternoon Tea
DESCRIPTION:11:30 am\, 12:00pm\, 1:00 pm\, and 2:30pm\nYou are invited to enjoy an enchanting Afternoon Tea in Wisner House overlooking the Arboretum’s beautiful grounds! \nUpon arrival\, you will be offered a menu of fine teas and infusions. Your choice of tea will be brewed to perfection. Once everyone is settled in\, the tiers will arrive with freshly baked scones\, jam\, homemade clotted cream\, scrumptious sandwiches\, and a 3-tiered dessert tray. \nIn the last part of the service\, you’ll be offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco\, a Mimosa\, or sparkling lemonade. We hope you will join us! \nThis event is for adults and children ages 13+. Seatings are 90 minutes\, and registration is required. If you prefer Sun Porch seating\, please purchase tickets for 11:30 am\, 12:00 pm\, or 2:30 pm. Children 7+ are welcome at our 2:30 pm seating. \nA 10% gratuity for your server is included in tea pricing. \nGroups larger than 8 people\, please email Richard at richard@secrettearoom.us for booking information. \nDIETARY AND SEATING REQUESTS: Please put notes in the participant’s box on the checkout page about dietary restrictions or seating requests. If you are seated on your own\, please let us know. SUMMARY:Forest Bathing Winter Solstice
DESCRIPTION:(for adults) \nFrom time immemorial humans have observed the Winter Solstice as a special day on the calendar; the day when the hemispheric pole is at its further point from the Sun.  Cultures around the world mark this auspicious ‘turning towards the light’ with feast and celebration\, and in quiet reflection.  The Winter Solstice will occur on December 21st as the Sun\, having reached its further point from us\, begins its long journey back providing us with a little more of its precious light each day. \nWhat better way to prepare for this important passage than by taking a pause to reflect as you deepen your nature connection with a Forest Bathing walk at the Arboretum.  Limited availability\, so book your place soon at this very special event. \nA few tips from Rich to make your walk more comfortable: \n\nThe walk will last for about 2.5 hours. We will be moving slowly and using our senses to connect with nature so this will not be an athletic walk.\nPlease dress in layers so you can be comfortable with temperature changes.\nIf you wish\, you can bring sunscreen\, bug spray\, and/or water.\nRich will provide small mats to use when sitting.\nThe walk will be postponed in the event of inclement weather.\n\nRich Collins is a Certified Guide for the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT)\, based in Morristown & Barnegat Light\, New Jersey.  His company\, Friendly Territory\, specializes in Nature & Forest Therapy walks and retreats.
