DESCRIPTION:Museum staff and other guest readers share stories\, rhymes and sing-alongs with children ages 2 to 5 years and their caregivers every Friday at 10:00 am. A $5 suggested donation is appreciated. \nLaunched in 2005 by librarian and former Museum Trustee Penny Metsch\, the program is open to all on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. \nDue to weather or staffing shortages\, the program may be canceled without advance notice. To confirm on the day of the event\, please call 201/656-2240\, or contact us at info@hobokenmuseum.org. \nTips and Guidelines for making Storytime successful: \n\nIf your child is crying or having a difficult time\, please take him or her outside so as not to disturb the others and try to come back another time.\nIf your child is not being gentle with another child\, please separate the children and make sure it doesn’t happen again.\nCell phones are fine for taking pictures of your child\, but not for talking on or texting.\nAll the adults are role models for the children. If they see you sitting and listening to the story\, they will too. No experience is necessary. \nGround Force Sessions: \n\n\nFridays\, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM \n\n\nWhat to Bring & Wear: \n\n\nLong pants\, long socks\, and sturdy closed-toe shoes \n\n\nInsect repellent\, sunscreen\, and a refillable water bottle \n\n\nRain gear if light rain is expected—we work in drizzle! \n\n\nRegistration is required to receive updates in case of cancellations or schedule changes. Please register at least 24 hours before each session. \nWe will supply gloves as well as all other tools and materials. For your safety\, all tools and gloves are washed and sanitized. Please meet at the barn in our parking lot. If the session is cancelled due to inclement weather or any other reason\, we will contact you.
