Wilderness Survival Skills

Ever wondered what you’d do if you became stranded in the woods?

Join wilderness educator, Stephen Sciame of Blue Campfire Experiences LLC, on an adventure into the wild and learn how to use natural resources to problem-solve in an emergency situation. Learn about harmful and helpful plants, how to build a shelter, and how to treat minor injuries in the field.

Please bring water and wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes. Long pants tucked into your socks are recommended to prevent exposure to ticks and poison ivy.

Please bring a reusable mask to use in a demonstration (if you have one).

Meet in the Visitor’s Center courtyard.

Max: 20 people.
