STEM Storytime at the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge

July 3, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Join us at the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge for a fun and educational storytime. Savannah from the Dorothy Henry Branch in collaboration with Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge volunteer, Donna Provost will lead a discussion about clouds and a story. Donna will take us on a nature walk around the pond while children observe Earth clouds and learn that there are different kinds of clouds at the upper, middle, and lower levels of our atmosphere. Afterwards, children will enjoy time making a craft. Please wear appropriate clothing for a short nature walk. Sunscreen and bottle water is also recommended.

Sponsored By: United States Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service, Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge and Sussex County Library System.

This is part of our summer reading program.  All children that are registered for the summer reading program at Sussex County Library System will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize that will be drawn at the conclusion of our summer reading program.  Winners will be notified in August.  Not registered for summer reading, click here for more information?
