Hawk Tales: Birds of Prey

Enjoy this rare opportunity to observe birds of prey in action!

Watch flight and hunting demonstrations and learn about the history of falconry, their habits and adaptations, and other environmental insights with master falconer, James Eyring.

Our special guests will include a harris hawk, gyr/saker falcon, barn owl, and screech owl.

No dogs or horses allowed.

Meet on the Overlook trail, a short walk uphill from the Visitor’s Center.

The event is outdoors, dress appropriately for the weather. If you are uncomfortable standing for an hour, you may want to bring a lightweight folding chair.

Rain date: November 12. Please register so we may contact you if the event is postponed; you will be notified via email at least 2 hours in advance.
