Dr. Grieco has been employed by the Merrick Public Schools as a school psychologist for seven years and enjoys a part time private practice in East Norwich/Oyster Bay. He is also a field supervisor for doctoral students at Long Island University, C.W. Post campus. Dr. Grieco specializes in working with children and their families to resolve home and school related difficulties. Examples of such difficulties include assisting “blended” families and children of divorce transition smoothly, as well specializing in anxiety reduction and anger management. School-related specialties include the assessment of attentional, emotional, social and academic difficulties. He is also skilled as a liaison to facilitate communication between home and school. In addition, Dr. Grieco is available to meet with school personnel and administrators to support parents in creating a more positive school experience for all children. Lastly, Dr. Grieco is currently booking appointments with Parent Teacher Associations and Special Education Parent Teacher Associations as a guest speaker for the 2006-2007 school year.
