PGL is a fun-filled, multi-sensory, social skills & school-readiness program for special needs children, ages 3 through 9. Featuring an occupational therapist-teacher team approach, the program is offered after school, 2-hours per day, two-days per week and includes very small group sizes, with a 1:1 or 1:2 staff to child ratio. PGL gives children an opportunity to have fun and make friends while learning: cooperative play skills and team skills; social skills and more effective communication skills; school-related gross and fine motor skills; drawing, pre-writing, handwriting, cartooning; OT-run arts and crafts & sensory integration gym; puppeteering (younger) and film-making (older kids). “Sensory diet” and “self-regulation” techniques are melded into programming for enhanced attention and better self-management.
