Springboard Therapy in Morristown is a new and customized pediatric occupational therapy program specializing in sensory integration, evaluation and treatment. Created by Tricia O’ Brien, an occupational therapist for over ten years, springboard Therapy is the result of years of experience, continuing coursework, collaboration with experts in the field and desire to create a fun, knowledgeable, warm, trusting and respectful environment where children can maximize their potential. Springboard offers comprehensive evaluations and treatment planning as well as individual therapy services for children of all ages. Springboaard’s professionally trained and dedicated staff evaluates and treats a variety of individuals with neurological and psychological disorders including attention deficit disorder, hypotonia, learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, etc. Springboard Therapy provides individual therapy services all year and intensive therapy services in the summer. Pediatric Physical Therapy Specialties is a center designed to provide “Intensive Therapy,” 3 - 4 hour sessions, 5 days per week for 3 - 4 weeks, totaling 45 - 60 hours. They provide evaluation and treatment for children who may need a “little extra” beyond the traditional 45 - 60 minute therapy session. The Intensive Therapy model allows children to adequately prepare their bodies for new discoveries of movement. It also allows for time to practice new skills, time to maximize their body’s potential and time to build strength and endurance. They provide therapy intervention with the unique experience of the Therasuit (TM) and Universal Exercise Unit combined with neuro-developmental treatment (NDT) and strength training techniques to propel your child to the next developmental level.
