Summer Camp is for EVERYONE and Children’s Specialized Hospital offers a number of camps designed to meet the needs of children with disabilities. Their camps are staffed with knowledgeable therapists who have a keen understanding of the needs of each camper. Two one-week sleep-away camps ages 8-12 and three day experience camps ages 8 – 10 are held in collaboration with the Phillipsburg/Easton YMCA at Camp Skycrest in Hawley, PA. Three day camp: June 22-25, 2008 or June 25 – 28, 2008. Regular camp: week 1- June 22-28, 2008; week 2 - June 29 – July 5, 2008. Camp Sunshine ages 5 & 6 and Camp Discovery ages 7 -11 are day camps held at the Westfield Y. All activities at these camps are fully integrated. Camp hotline: 908-301-5484. Camp Chatterbox is a weeklong sleep away camp for non-verbal children and their families where they learn more about their augmentative and assistive devices while enjoying typical camp activities.
