Cambridge School continues to sustain the highest standards for educating students with language-based learning differences. Seven years ago, Cambridge School opened with ten students. Today, Cambridge has grown more than ten times over and is expanding its campus with the construction of a new Physical Education Facility. “We have grown tremendously, but we have not lost the intimate family feel that makes Cambridge such a distinctive and responsive environment,” says James Maher, educational administrator. Every classroom at Cambridge has a SMART Board™, which is a touch-sensitive, interactive whiteboard. “We believe that learning is active and this technology helps to make it so”, states Maher. Additionally, the school houses three portable, laptop computer labs. Since its inception Cambridge has fully trained its faculty in research-based programs including Orton-Gillingham, Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes™ and Read Naturally Program. Language specialists are Wilson Level 1 certified. “Our faculty is exceptional! It is the consistency of method that helps our students to make such tremendous gains, and which sets the teaching at Cambridge School apart,” explains Maher.
