Dedicated to preparing children for kindergarten by immersing them in engaging educational experiences full of skill-building opportunities and fun, Kid’s Kottage Preschool offers morning and afternoon sessions for children ages 3-5 years. The addition of a bright, new facility has allowed Kid’s Kottage to expand the age-appropriate class options this year. Available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the 3’s Program runs either two or three days a week, while the 4’s & 5’s Program runs Monday-Friday, either three, four or five days a week. All program curriculums stimulate children’s natural academic and emotional development. By incorporating thematic dramatic play centers each month that intrigue kids into the curriculum, from nursery rhymes and sea life, to farming and the solar system, the motivated and experienced teachers in each classroom foster children’s unique learning styles, interests and creativity. Themes progress from week to week, allowing children to understand material at a good pace. Plus, with a ratio of up to 16 students with up to three teachers, students receive ample individual attention. Daily activities include circle and story time, dramatic and free play, show and tell, math, block-building, woodworking, cooking, music, snack, science experiments, language arts and more. While parents are always invited to witness the wonders of the classroom, Kid’s Kottage holds optional parent/teacher conferences and special programs, such as Mommy & Me and a summer program.
