Sutton East Tennis Club is an indoor tennis bubble with eight championship red clay courts and the latest “state of the art” lighting. Court time is offered on a reserved seasonal basis or an hourly basis during the 30-week indoor season from Monday, September 22, 2008, through Sunday, April 26, 2009. Other playing programs include weekday round robins, weeknight leagues, “Friday Night Tennis for Young Professionals,” and USTA tournaments. With a large and experienced teaching staff and competitive pricing, no one in NYC gives more tennis lessons than Sutton East professionals. The Pee-Wee programs for ages 3-5 introduces children to sports skills and tennis in a safe, fun-filled environment. The fully experienced and trained instructors use proven teaching techniques to provide a very positive and reinforcing learning experience. There are no more than five students per instructor which assures individualized attention to each child. The Junior Programs for ages 6-18 years have an emphasis on individual needs. Children and parents can decide on private instruction (one student per instructor), semi-private (two students per instructor) or group instruction (three, four or five per instructor depending upon choice). The front desk and lobby area offers a wonderful spectator lounge with 50 feet of glass to view the courts and a large wooden deck that allow parents, friends and nannies to watch children learn and play.
